Inserts mechanical data

Samples of inserts/onserts must be sent to the Advertising Manager before bookings can be fully approved. Pre-approved inserts/onserts should be supplied to the address advised by the Advertising Manager five working days before the press date.

Inserts must be boxed (not on pallets) and individually marked disabilitynow, followed by the issue date, supplier’s name and address, insert title and quantity.

Inserts/onserts must be supplied pre-trimmed and folded (if necessary), and should be no larger than 245mm x 200mm to fit within our magazine’s trim area.

Technical specification

To meet the accessibility requirements of our readers, please ensure that your artwork uses a sans serif font at a size of no less than 10pt.

All artwork must be supplied as follows:

• At the correct size either as high resolution, press-ready PDFs with fonts embedded or as Illustrator EPS files with fonts outlined
• TrueType fonts embedded (PDF) or outlined (EPS)
• Colours saved as CMYK (no spot colours)
• Files flattened (no layers) and collected for output at a minimum of 300dpi
• All images supplied at 300dpi.

Disability Now reserves the right to reject files that don’t meet these specifications or charge additionally to correct them.
We do not accept bromides or film, or artwork in the following formats: InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Coral Draw or Pagemaker.
