If so, we’d like to invite you to join UNISON, the region’s major union for public and voluntary service workers, and become involved in the Group for Disabled Members.

UNISON’s priorities on disability are led by the union’s own disabled members and the group was set up to identify and discuss issues for disabled workers.             

We have access to UNISON’s negotiating machinery to work to get things changed.

We campaign on issues such as:
•      Inaccessible workplaces
•    Negative views & prejudices from employers
  
Your experiences are important to us and if you feel that your employer is not responding to your needs in the workplace, UNISON is here to help.  We have a strong record for supporting and campaigning for disabled people.
