Dumfries and Galloway
ae Farm Cottages
Our cottages are part of a traditional farm in a secluded valley surrounded by forests and hills. A haven of peace in South West Scotland just ten miles north of Dumfries.

There are streams, fields, hills, ponds, bike tracks and bridleways on the doorstep. The wildlife is diverse and both farm and cottages are environmentally friendly.
Dogs, cats, children and horses are very welcome and invariably have a great time ... often with our dogs, cats, children and horses.
STOCKMAN'S COTTAGE
This cottage is a "Category One" accessibility rating, suitable for wheelchair users, but is a favourite with young families and people of more advanced years who love the view and don't like steps.
It has under-floor central heating, comprises a living room/dining room, open plan kitchen, double bedroom, second bedroom with twin beds and shower-room. An electric faux coal fire in a stone fire place in the living room provides a focal point.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Stockman's Cottage is custom built for people in chairs who wish to be independent. It is Category One.
There is adjacent parking, a ramp to the front door (in gable on left), a low threshold strip, no steps and many other useful features like a roll in shower, fold down seat, wide doors and plenty turning space.
The kitchen has a lower work surface, a non spill lip, knee room under both sink and hob and all the switches are within reach.
There is a level area with a picnic bench outside the cottage and a gently sloping forest road with a good surface behind the farm.
NATURE
The crowds rush to the Lakes District and the Highlands every year while the more discerning return to Dumfries & Galloway. The Southern Uplands of Scotland aren't the highest, but they are very beautiful and you do not have to share them nearly so much. And thanks to Scottish Legislation you are free to roam.
