Wheelchair accessible, restored 70 sq m cottage all on ground level, tucked away among vineyards and olive groves in the magical Val D’Orcia (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with very pretty views, yet easy 4 minute drive (3 km) to mediaeval Pienza (also UNESCO World Heritage Site) with numerous restaurants, bars and shops.

Sleeps 4 in 2 double bedrooms (double bed / twins) & 2 bathrooms – one with walk-in shower, shower seat, grab rails - plus kitchen-living-room.

On three sides of the cottage there is a level, gravelled patio area with gazebo, table, chairs and loungers for sitting/dining outside. On two sides of the cottage there is a terraced garden with steps going up, leading into the olive grove.

The owners live in the neighbouring farmhouse and are on hand, if you have any problems or queries.

The cottage was completely restored in 2006 in the classic Tuscan style (beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and internal shutters), yet is light and modern. It forms part of a working farm with 5 hectares of vineyard and olive groves in the beautiful Val D’Orcia, landscape celebrated by artists down the ages. It makes a great base for exploring the Val D’Orcia (incorporating Pienza, Montalcino, Radicofani, Castiglione D’Orcia, Bagno Vignoni ), as well as nearby mediaeval towns such as Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona, Perugia, Arezzo, Orvieto. Florence is also easily reachable.

The prices include electricity, water & gas (excluding gas central heating which will be charged at cost according to consumption based on the gas meter), use of bed linen, towels and final cleaning.

The cottage is available all year for a minimum stay of one week starting and ending on a Saturday. We try to be flexible so if you have other requirements, do please ask us.

For your use there is a house-book which provides various itineraries for sightseeing and recommendations to ensure that you get the most from your stay here.

The nearest airports are Florence (ca 90km) – direct flight to London Gatwick operated by Meridiana and Perugia (ca 85km)- direct Ryanair flight to London Stansted. Pisa airports & both Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino are easily reachable (respectively 190 / 170 & 160km).
