Wheelchair accessible gite in South West France

This property is part of a 13th century farmhouse with wonderful views over a georgeous valley & the pictoresque little town of Montcuq in the distance. The owners live next door and speak sufficient English to be on hand for friendly advice about local tourism etc.

Disabled access was planned from day one of the renovation of the site (the owners have a disabled daugher). All adaptations blend in with the tasteful décor of the gite and ensure that everyone can access all areas within the house, as well as its surroundings (sleeps 8).

Access to all 3 floors via electrically operated, through-floor lift

90 cm wide doors throughout, no doorsteps, WC (1.5 m x 1.5 m) with grab rails

Bathroom with Jacuzzi, wheel-in shower with grab rails and foldable seat, height adjustable hand-basin (60 to 110 cm)

Electrically height adjustable kitchen workstation (incl. sink, hob, oven)

Also available, to ease access to outdoor surroundings: electric scooters.

The swimming pool can be accessed by wheelchair/scooter; no hoist into the pool; 4 small steps into the shallow end.

2005 & 2006 Prices

- January to April (inclusive) - 600 euros per week
- May & June - 900 euros per week
- July & August - 1200 euros per week
- September & October - 900 euros per week
- November to December - 600 euros per week
