Windrush Barn has been converted to high standard self catering accommodation specifically for people with disabilities and their families or carers. It can accommodate up to 12 people although smaller groups can still feel comfortable due to the flexible layout.

 The barn is a peaceful sanctuary situated on a smallholding  with stunning views of Black Coombe and only 10 minutes drive from quiet ,beautiful and safe beaches on Cumbria's west coast. Millom the nearest town is only 2.5 miles away and has all the necessary facilities including a railway station.

 The access from the courtyard is level and ramped with plenty of space for disabled parking near by.

The barn features the following facilities;

Wheelchair accessible en-suite bathroom with ceiling track hoist

Grab rails in all ground floor shower, bath and toilet rooms

Electric beds with tempur mattresses

Additionally the barn has a well equipped kitchen, utility and games room. There is a Digital TV, DVD player, Hi -Fi system, and plenty of CDs, books and games.

 
The farm is home to various animals and poultry which provide constant entertainment!

 Fresh farm eggs and home grown vegetables/salad crops are available when in season.

 On arrival ,a welcome pack is provided consisting of milk, tea, coffee, sugar, local produce and home made cakes.

Coniston; Wastwater; Ravenglass with its famous railway; Muncaster Castle, home of The World Owl Centre; South Lakes Wild Animal Park; and Ulverston, home of Stan Laurel are all within easy reach.

 Rates are all inclusive and vary according to season and size of group. Short breaks are also available.
