The BBC has finally announced a transmission
date for their delayed psychological drama The Silence.
The four-part thriller, featuring Disability Now’s May cover star Genevieve Barr as a young hearing-impaired girl who witnesses a crime, was originally due to air in May.
However, the corporation said that they wanted to give the drama the ‘attention it deserves’, postponing it until after the World Cup.
The first episode will air at 9pm on Monday 12 July with the remaining episodes running at the same time across three further consecutive evenings that week.
