Festival fever

Glastonbury 1This weekend Disability Now reporters will be “tweeting” live from Glastonbury Festival, divulging all the gossip from reviews of the best and worst performances, accessibility (including all-important updates on the amount of mud!) to interviews with musicians and organisers.

Glastonbury is the first major music festival to include a stage featuring solely disabled performers. The Dada Stage, in association with Attitude is Everything, an organisation that aims to improve deaf and disabled people’s experience of live music, will be located in the Shangri La field and will host performances from bands and DJs including Spaceships are Cool and Al Cool and the Stranger Wines. The Attitude is Everything showcase will take place from 2pm – 6pm on Saturday 27th June.

Do you think having a day dedicated to disabled musicians is a good idea? If you have been to Glastonbury before, what did you think of the accessibility of the festival? If you are going this year, send us your reviews of Dada Stage performances by emailing cathy.reay@disabilitynow.org.uk.
